Meriden Health and Human Services

MHYC partners with Meriden Health and Human Services to provide Narcan and QPR training, as well as to collaborate on other coalition-related initiatives that support community health and prevention efforts.

Meriden Police Department

MHYC partners with the Meriden Police Department to promote the Drug Take Back Box and encourage safe disposal of unused or expired medications.

Meriden Board of Education

MHYC partners with the Meriden Board of Education and school district on a variety of initiatives, including the vaping restorative program for students, the Youth Voices Count survey, lunch table engagement events, and more.

Rushford

Rushford serves as the fiduciary agent for the coalition and is a strong supporter of all Meriden Healthy Youth Coalition programs and initiatives.

The Record-Journal

The Record-Journal supports the Meriden Healthy Youth Coalition by helping to promote our social media campaigns and raise community awareness.

Community Guidance Clinic for Central CT

The Community Guidance Clinic for Central Connecticut is a regular participant in our coalition meetings, contributing valuable insight and support to our shared prevention efforts.

Hunter’s Ambulance of CT

Hunter’s Ambulance is a strong supporter of our Narcan trainings and Opioid Awareness events, helping to promote education and community safety.

Council of Neighborhoods

MHYC supports the Council of Neighborhoods to support and participate in National Night Out, promoting community engagement and safety.

TriCircle

MHYC supports TriCircle by promoting their events, and TriCircle actively participates in coalition meetings to collaborate on shared prevention goals.

Meriden Public Library

The Meriden Public Library supports the Meriden Healthy Youth Coalition by hosting our events and activities, providing a welcoming space for community engagement.

KC Makes Music

KC Makes Music supports the Meriden Healthy Youth Coalition by recording our PSAs, videos, podcasts, and offering music classes for students.

We also push beyond the borders of Meriden to create the relationships that lead to really effective prevention work in our community.

Midstate Chamber of Commerce

The Midstate Chamber of Commerce is a strong supporter of the coalition. We are proud members of the chamber, and actively participate in events like the Daffodil Festival.

Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services

DMHAS provides funding for the PCC grant to the coalition and serves as our reporting agency.

The Governor’s Prevention Partnership

GPP provides technical assistance and support to the coalition’s Youth Peer Advocates, as well as training for coalition staff/members.

SAMHSA ( Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration)

Provides educational information and evidence-based research to support the coalition’s initiatives.
