Introduction to MORR
Rushford has partnered with the City of Meriden to help combat the opioid crisis that the State of Connecticut and the City of Meriden are experiencing.
Meriden Opioid Referral for Recovery (MORR) project focuses on first responders using Narcan to reverse opioid overdose and then connecting that individual to the specialized team of MORR staff who are embedded in Rushford’s Crisis Team.
Rushford will provide direct access to a clinician who will help guide the individual on their path to recovery. In addition, Rushford will provide clients in the MORR program with a case manager. Rushford will offer a peer trained Recovery Support Specialist as well as a bilingual case manager for Meriden’s large Spanish-speaking population. The team will provide support, connect people to needed resources, and assist with any other needs the individual may have.
